“The place was excellent, perfect for our group. The kitchen is wonderful, the living room was spacious. The hot tub can take a while to get warm when the temperature outside is cooler, as it sort of mixes with the pool water over the dividing wall, but it was an excellent spot to sit and chat with friends. The host was very communicative, although some of the more marketing-type messages got a little distracting to tell what was relevant vs what was key information. Would return in the future, a great stay!”

“We had a great stay. The property is beautiful and was perfect for our group, and the layout and amenities worked very well for a group retreat. APEK Rentals was responsive and checked in often, which we appreciated. The only challenge during our stay was a scheduled overnight power outage that we weren’t notified of in advance. While it didn’t significantly impact our overall experience, having a heads-up would have helped us prepare and would have avoided some inconvenience. Overall, we would still rate this a 5-star stay and would happily stay again and recommend to other groups!”

Had some issues with a shower not working and a roof leak after a crazy rainstorm but APEX did communicate, and we were able to figure out a solution. “Our stay at Escape Island was perfect. Would recommend for a group of 6 people willing to share beds. Downstairs is immaculate and just as described. Pool and Spa were the perfect size and had great seating in each to congregate and chat while cooling off. (Definitely spring for the pool heat!) BBQ grill worked great. It’s a hidden gem in a quiet neighborhood and you’ll be downtown near the action in 6 minutes or less. We adored our stay!”

“construction going on next door during our stay, so daytime noise. good location convienient to airport and downtown. 4th bedroom is not inside the house it is outside and upstairs, with no bathroom, so guests have to come down outside stairs and enter house to use a bathroom. 3rd bedroom does not seem to be connected to furnace or AC like the rest of the house. Pool and spa cannot be heated at the same time even though we paid to heat the pool. If you want the pool heated, you have to turn off spa heat and vice versa so not so convenient. a few things maintenance could fix. Otherwise OK. some pots and pans are good, others look like they were picked up at goodwill with loose handles. could use more plates and bowls. missed a regular coffee pot. unit has a keurig.”

Specifically, there were no outdoor shower, or lawn games, no coffee station, and no room darkening curtains in the MB. The "fully equipped" kitchen lacks a functioning ice maker, dish towels, plastic ware, mixing bowls, and a trivet. customer response time is also very poor since initial responses seemed to be AI-generated and did not address our questions.”

Limited to 1,000 characters so will address things that would have been helpful for us since my husband is handicapped & uses a scooter for most of his mobility. Unfortunately the host wouldn’t answer my questions about the home & exterior….sent very nice emails but would never respond. If it’s helpful, here are answers to my own questions. 1. Steps: 1 at front gate, 2 steps from lower bedrm to living area, 2 steps to kitchen & bedrms. 2. Mstrbth - narrow doorway. Hubbies scooter barely fit…a wheelchair wouldn’t. 3. No built in shower benches/seats. 4. Loft Bedroom: Beautiful bright room, entry by ext. stairway, 2 queens, NO HEATING OR AIR, BUT in cooler months the sun heats the room by day & you can open the wndws by night. 5. If park on Master bedroom side, no steps to enter the hme. Only Con: Kitchen isn’t well stocked: no bkng pns excpt 2 flat ones, 4 coffee mugs, no longer a set of 8 dishes or silverware,”

“Beautiful property with great style & decor. The house was immaculately clean. Each bedroom had its own character and charm. Living space was cozy with a large sitting area. Kitchen was open and beautiful. Front yard putting green was one of the main reasons we booked this home. It’s beautiful and private, and so much fun. Putting Green is daytime use only as they’re aren’t outdoor lights. Pool and hot tub area in the back is also private and a great size. We would definitely stay here again.”
